Tea party express protesters gathered in Freedom Square in Washington DC today, to protest against what they see as too much government spending, increasing taxes and unsustainable national debt.

Speakers rallied the crowd with talk of the dreaded VAT tax, unfair media bias, charges of racism and the rallying cry of Conservative Victory 2012. Michele Bachmann was a huge hit with the tea party protesters and called on people across the nation to show their unhappiness with Congress by voting out the incumbents in November.

There was a small group of protestors, but they stayed on the outskirts of the rally.
