One man awake,
Awakens another.
The second awakens
His next door brother.
The three awake can rouse a town
By turning
the whole place
Upside down
Awakens another.
The second awakens
His next door brother.
The three awake can rouse a town
By turning
the whole place
Upside down
The many awake
Can cause such a fuss
It finally awakens the rest of us.
One man up,
With dawn in his eyes
Surely then
Multiplies
Can cause such a fuss
It finally awakens the rest of us.
One man up,
With dawn in his eyes
Surely then
Multiplies
Written in the late 1700s, this poem spoke to Tribbles’ contemporaries spiritually as well as culturally. It can say the same thing to those of us looking for an answer to the madness of today. An awakening needs to happen both spiritually as well as culturally. In Tribbles’ time, the drive toward independence was building and coalescing in the young colonies. So it is now in our time. I believe the stirrings have begun. Godspeed this new awakening.
Again, Thanks much to http://foundersfreedom.wordpress.com/2008/12/21/awaken-lawrence-tribble/ !!
Which is where the above was obviously taken from! I will never tire of simple and poignant staples that can be directly elbowed into your world, feeling, and being, as if they were written at your request vs. 100's of years ago!
This as much as anything is why the spoken and written word will always be as powerful or more so than any man made weapon, bomb, etc....
