There are obviously some things that can come up to strike a chord in folks which will supposedly geode or highlight possible issues, violence, threats, blah blah blah.

If you are all about a version of European socialism then call it and sell it. If you are all about cutting taxes and cutting Corp. Tax rates and especially Capitol gains taxes, call it and spell it out.

If you don't vote your conscience and your constituents desires we are all flat destined for the upheaval of society and there is no way around that...given the moral corruptness of our very simplest responsibilities from every aspect of true American society these days...and THEN THERE IS THE WASHINGTON DC morals, rules, lobbies, friends, pacs, deals, sausage making, and every other god awful metaphor you can capitulate.

ensuring enforcement and implementation of abortion restrictions in the patient protection and affordable care act

By the authority vested in me as President by the Constitution and the laws of the United States of America, including the “Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act” (approved March __, 2010), I hereby order as follows:

Section 1. Policy.

Following the recent passage of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (“the Act”), it is necessary to establish an adequate enforcement mechanism to ensure that Federal funds are not used for abortion services (except in cases of rape or incest, or when the life of the woman would be endangered), consistent with a longstanding Federal statutory restriction that is commonly known as the Hyde Amendment. The purpose of this Executive Order is to establish a comprehensive, government-wide set of policies and procedures to achieve this goal and to make certain that all relevant actors—Federal officials, state officials (including insurance regulators) and health care providers—are aware of their responsibilities, new and old.

The Act maintains current Hyde Amendment restrictions governing abortion policy and extends those restrictions to the newly-created health insurance exchanges. Under the Act, longstanding Federal laws to protect conscience (such as the Church Amendment, 42 U.S.C. §300a-7, and the Weldon Amendment, Pub. L. No. 111-8, §508(d)(1) (2009)) remain intact and new protections prohibit discrimination against health care facilities and health care providers because of an unwillingness to provide, pay for, provide coverage of, or refer for abortions.

Numerous executive agencies have a role in ensuring that these restrictions are enforced, including the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), the Office of Management and Budget (OMB), and the Office of Personnel Management (OPM).

Section 2. Strict Compliance with Prohibitions on Abortion Funding in Health Insurance Exchanges. The Act specifically prohibits the use of tax credits and cost-sharing reduction payments to pay for abortion services (except in cases of rape or incest, or when the life of the woman would be endangered) in the health insurance exchanges that will be operational in 2014. The Act also imposes strict payment and accounting requirements to ensure that Federal funds are not used for abortion services in exchange plans (except in cases of rape or incest, or when the life of the woman would be endangered) and requires state health insurance commissioners to ensure that exchange plan funds are segregated by insurance companies in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles, OMB funds management circulars, and accounting guidance provided by the Government Accountability Office.

I hereby direct the Director of OMB and the Secretary of HHS to develop, within 180 days of the date of this Executive Order, a model set of segregation guidelines for state health insurance commissioners to use when determining whether exchange plans are complying with the Act’s segregation requirements, established in Section 1303 of the Act, for enrollees receiving Federal financial assistance. The guidelines shall also offer technical information that states should follow to conduct independent regular audits of insurance companies that participate in the health insurance exchanges. In developing these model guidelines, the Director of OMB and the Secretary of HHS shall consult with executive agencies and offices that have relevant expertise in accounting principles, including, but not limited to, the Department of the Treasury, and with the Government Accountability Office. Upon completion of those model guidelines, the Secretary of HHS should promptly initiate a rulemaking to issue regulations, which will have the force of law, to interpret the Act’s segregation requirements, and shall provide guidance to state health insurance commissioners on how to comply with the model guidelines.

Section 3. Community Health Center Program.

The Act establishes a new Community Health Center (CHC) Fund within HHS, which provides additional Federal funds for the community health center program. Existing law prohibits these centers from using federal funds to provide abortion services (except in cases of rape or incest, or when the life of the woman would be endangered), as a result of both the Hyde Amendment and longstanding regulations containing the Hyde language. Under the Act, the Hyde language shall apply to the authorization and appropriations of funds for Community Health Centers under section 10503 and all other relevant provisions. I hereby direct the Secretary of HHS to ensure that program administrators and recipients of Federal funds are aware of and comply with the limitations on abortion services imposed on CHCs by existing law. Such actions should include, but are not limited to, updating Grant Policy Statements that accompany CHC grants and issuing new interpretive rules.

Section 4. General Provisions.

(a) Nothing in this Executive Order shall be construed to impair or otherwise affect: (i) authority granted by law or presidential directive to an agency, or the head thereof; or (ii) functions of the Director of the Office of Management and Budget relating to budgetary, administrative, or legislative proposals.

(b) This Executive Order shall be implemented consistent with applicable law and subject to the availability of appropriations.

(c) This Executive Order is not intended to, and does not, create any right or benefit, substantive or procedural, enforceable at law or in equity against the United States, its departments, agencies, entities, officers, employees or agents, or any other person.

I will flat out second the statement that Neil Boortz made earlier today and will no doubt get blasted for......in the long term today will do more to destroy this country (and my only prayer is in reverse it somehow can be the only way to save this gigantic beast rolling down the mountain the wrong way) than what transpired on 9/11.

I TOTALLY AGREE WITH THIS and there is no debating it because its simply a true fundamental disagreement in Ideology and it will not change period! Healthcare - down to the wire

At times today I have found myself almost in tears quite simply filled with emotions and sorry that I cannot go to Washington this weekend just to do my part. I have called, faxed, emailed, EVEN THOSE NOT IN MY STATE, anything to help but I just pray that the masses flood DC this weekend. This whole by HOOK OR BY CROOK theory I understand will backfire on them at the ballot box but it will be too late by then barring a Supreme Court strike down. Once the government gains that much control of our freedom & liberty its only a matter of how much more and when they will try and take it...that is our future. I just can't understand when i talk to folks, including some good friends that simply go on OBLIVIOUS to what is going on in Washington and totally damn clueless or purposely clueless (which is worse IMO). BY GOD how can you not take the time to form an opinion based on your personal beliefs and which beliefs your local, state,& federal government are most closely aligned with yours on a person by person basis, NOT A DAMN PARTY BASIS. The R & the D in my opinion are as big a part of the literal current dismantling of all our founding fathers faught and died for as anything. I will never understand the party system and why it has flourished and expanded to the point they rule the world. How did we not see this one coming many many many years ago?
HEY, you, LISTEN, do you know what freedom & liberty are? Do you prefer to have them? Do you or do you not believe that big government is nothing but bad news? ABOUT the only positive to this is if this keeps going you won't have to worry about all these people coming to our country through the border and on wooden rafts....hell we will be leaving over the border and on rafts ourself because what is the difference between where we are headed and where all those folks are? IMAGINE gas was still $4 plus a gallon. I firmly believe that the country would be in civil unrest at this point at BEST if that was the case. I don't even know where to begin here and if I literally were paid to follow this and it was my only reason for existing I couldn't come close to the attention it needs but for history sake i will simply say this. Those that know me close know that I am a major Glenn Beck follower and if you know where he has been for the past 18 months and aren't scared and can't honestly say that I AM SORRY and don't expect and I TOLD YOU SO then there is no hope for you and those that just don't get it unfortunately don't deserve the damn LIBERTY and FREEDOM that we are all fighting for since its being sucked dry from us day by day and the biggest yet is this Healthcare/Education Bill.

OMG You have to hear GLENN BECK on his daughter running cross country

That is one of the most obvious and powerful stories I have literally every heard. I really hope the entire Glenn Beck world heard that and perhaps some folks looking for a new way that aren't in Glenn's world. He talked about his daughter who has cerebral palsy and that she wanted to run cross country in high school and how the coach treated her and how she finished last each and every race and how it was one of the greatest things that he has ever seen and without a doubt she says she is different person because of it etc....and NO ITS NOT BECAUSE SOMEBODY DECIDED TO DOCK OTHER PEOPLES TIME OR MAKE THEM START x AMOUNT OF TIME AFTER HER TO TRY AND EVEN THE PLAYING FIELD.....She was the captain of her Cross Country team her senior year and they even asked her (she accepted) to give the key note at their banquet at the end of the year that year and she brought down the house....as you could tell from the emotions coming through Glenn on that story!

The NEW US Social Security Card

Of course if you heard any of the news on this today its well more than our useless social security card (i say useless in the grand scheme of things...that card is more trouble than its worth considering the amount of identity theft that comes simply from it alone)...anyway there is apparently a growing movement to have everyone in this country get an official ID that would include picture & fingerprint or something along those lines and the theory is it would make it easier for employers to NOT hired illegal aliens unknowingly and if they do hire them flat out FINE THEIR ASS OFF and well it would be even nicer if they might follow this type of mass effort on the part of every human in this country of 300million plus.....CAUSE I KNOW THESE WASTE OF SPACE TREE HUGGIN LIBGRESSIVES (that is the ugly offspring of a liberal & progressive procreation)....with some version of a effort beyond what a group of 15 year olds with only pellet guns could muster....you know like true damn border enforcement and quit making a mockery of everything that is AMERICAN down to its basic genetic code...just a thought

Beck vs. Massa the Interview

I will say at the very beginning my appreciation for Glenn Beck at a minimum is at a level I've probably not had to consider before in my life of any person that I do not physically know.
That being said I was so hoping we could get something to work with (vs. gotcha crap which benefits no one in the long run or best case benefits very few) out of this interview because in classic GB fashion he straight put it out today on radio and straight to Massa's face...to paraphrase but barely...YOU SAID TO ME CONGRESSMAN they have taken everything from me, blah blah, GLENN replies well if they have taken everything then that is when a person is feared the most because you have NOTHING else to lose....so of course GLENN made no secret this whole deal was about 0 more than a glorified version of his "Re-founders" Program. We need a whistle-blower to help further the knowledge base of the rotten corpse that has became DC and politics specifically. Well what we got I can't even describe. If I had never ending vacation days I would be tempted to take 1 tomorrow just to hear the entire diatribe Glenn bellows on this given during his last 30 minutes of utter frustration he began that last half segment by saying I made a promise at the beginning to the people....I WILL NOT WASTE YOUR TIME>>>
Well, again let's just say that either somebody got to him and he zipped it up about any further info that we could really use to help further the call to FUNDAMENTALLY CHANGE WASHINGTON that is beyond pertinent and at the heart of the matter.
